For more than 20 years, Channel 12 has supported volunteerism through the 12 Who Care volunteer recognition program. Each month a non-profit agency doing extraordinary work in our community is honored, encouraging others to volunteer to further their mission.
Awards:
One agency a month will be selected as a 12 Who Care honoree.
The agency will receive a $1,200 donation.
The agency will be featured on Arizona Midday, 12 News and azcentral.com.
A :30 second promotional spot based on the agency's story and volunteer information will air on Channel 12.
The agency will be hosted at a luncheon at Channel 12.

Channel 12 honored representatives from All Star Kids Tutoring, Community Alliance Against Family Abuse, The Emily Center at Phoenix Children's Hospital, Wesley Community Center, Save the Family and Neighborhood Housing Services of Phoenix. – the station's fourth quarter 2007 and first quarter 2008 12 Who Care honorees.
The Emily Center
The Emily Center at Phoenix Children's Hospital is the most comprehensive pediatric health library in the Southwest, providing hundreds of patients and families materials about child health, injury and illness. The materials are free of charge and available to everyone in the community.
All-Star Kids Tutoring
All-Star Kids Tutoring (ASKT) provides free of charge, one-on-one volunteer literacy tutoring to elementary school students struggling to master basic reading skills.
Wesley Community Center
Wesley Community Center provides programs for children, youth, adults and senior adults in south central Phoenix.
