Luis Trujillo joins the 12 News team as the SAP (Second Audio Program) Spanish Translator for 12 News at 6pm. He is the voice of 12 News Anchor Mark Curtis for the station’s Spanish-speaking audience who now have the option of listening to the newscast in their preferred language.
Luis graduated from Escuela Preparatoria de la Universidad de Sonora. He began his career in Nogales, Mexico as an announcer for XECG radio. He then continued on to Tucson as News Director and on-air personality for KEVT radio. Luis moved to Phoenix and spent 20 years at KVVA radio as Morning Announcer, Production Director, and Program Director. He most recently was at KSUN radio.
Luis has extensive experience writing and translating from English to Spanish and is a valuable addition to the 12 News team.
