KPNX-TV the Gannett station in Phoenix seeks a newscast producer, planner and multimedia journalist (MMJ) for our fast-growing morning newscast. Qualified applicants must be able to book guests and story segments for our morning news program; shoot, write, and edit video stories for broadcast and on line use; produce newscasts as assigned. Strong writing and organizational skills are a must. Desktop editing skills using server-based digital video systems like AVID/Unity are required. 12 News staff members are expected to contribute to the station website and other multimedia efforts. A degree in journalism or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of Phoenix and Arizona helpful. Bilingual in Spanish helpful.
