Business fundraisers to lend helping hand

Local businesses around the Southeast Valley are in the giving mood and welcoming you to do the same.

Colin's Magic Touch Cleaners

The Ahwatukee store, 4025 E. Chandler Blvd., will donate all profits from July 9-11 to the American Red Cross. Owner Roger Glass hopes to donate profits once a month to aid the indebted organization, alternating between his Ahwatukee and Tempe stores.

Curves Ahwatukee

Curves Ahwatukee, 15410 S. Mountain Parkway, Suite 10, has joined forces with Project We Remember for its inaugural Boots for Our Troops campaign selling paper boots for $2 to be displayed on the donor wall at the gym.

Curves Ahwatukee is also offering 50 percent off the service fee for members who join before July 12, and will donate half of that fee to Boots for Our Troops. A members-only Boot Camp will also be held at the gym at 1 p.m. July 12. The cost is $5, with all proceeds donated to Boots for Our Troops.
