4 hurt in crash involving pet-grooming van

Three women and an 8-year-old girl suffered minor injuries after a pet-grooming van and a Nissan truck collided Thursday in Gilbert.

The Pooch Planet mobile grooming van was heading north on Higley Road and attempted to turn west on Elliot Road when it collided with a Nissan Titan, heading southbound, shortly before 3 p.m., police said.

There were no dogs or other passengers in the grooming van, said Lt. Hugh White, of Gilbert Police.

The van flipped on its side and the driver, a 25-year-old woman, was airlifted to Scottsdale Osborn.

Also airlifted was a 48-year-old woman passenger of the Nissan truck.

The driver of the Nissan, a 27-year-old woman, and an 8-year-old passenger were transported to Scottsdale Osborn by ground, White said.
