Search for robbery suspect halted, Glendale schools reopen

Glendale police have given up the search on an armed robbery suspect while two Glendale schools have been reopened.

St. Louis the King Catholic School and Barcelona Middle School were on lockdown much of Thursday afternoon while police searched for a suspect wanted for a previous armed robbery.

Glendale police had set up a perimeter in the area of 45th Avenue and Keim Drive, just north of Bethany Home Road.

Officers noticed the suspect, a man in his mid 20s, in the neighborhood.

Police said they would keep a look out for the suspect.
