City to begin bulk trash collections

Phoenix will begin its special bulk trash pickups Saturday.

The city's Phoenix Public Works Department decided to do a special neighborhood bulk trash collections after the hardest hit storm-damaged neighborhoods.

City collection crews are limited to these areas to maintain existing scheduled bulk trash service to customers receiving normally scheduled collection.

The boundaries for the special bulk trash collection are:

• I-17 to the Arizona 51, from Van Buren Street north to Maryland Avenue

• Shea Boulevard north to Thunderbird Road (also including the area south of Shea to the Mountain Preserve), from 36th Street east to Tatum Boulevard.

• 7th Avenue to 12th Street, from Maryland Avenue north to Cactus Road.

Normal bulk-trash guidelines apply.
