Where things stand with road construction at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Scottsdale Road in the Scottsdale Airpark.
At stake: A key east-west route through the Scottsdale Airpark has been restricted to one lane in each direction at Scottsdale Road since September. The city's contractor is constructing various improvements in the area, including a new underground power line, new water lines and storm drains, additional turn lanes and a pedestrian bridge over the Central Arizona Project canal.
Update: Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard could reopen to its normal three lanes in each direction as early as today. Timing depends on the weather and on when paving the area can be completed, the city said.
What's next: Scottsdale Road at the intersection will continue to be restricted to one lane of through traffic and one left-turn lane at times through late November. To the north, Scottsdale Road between Paradise and Grayhawk drives will continue to be restricted to one through lane in each direction.
The entire project is to be completed in April.
