Majority of Glendale schools pass state measure

The state released Arizona Leading Education through the Accountability and Results Notification System labels for schools this week. Schools received labels of "excelling," "highly performing," "performing plus," "performing" or "underperforming" based on AIMS test results.

High school labels are based on the dropout rate, graduation rate and the percentage of students who pass AIMS. If a school does not improve from "underperforming" for a third year, it is subject to state intervention, such as replacing the principal.

Here is a list of "excelling" and "underperforming" Deer Valley Unified, Peoria Unified and Glendale Elementary and Glendale Union schools.
