Motorcycle collides with car in Peoria; man seriously injured

A 21-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after his motorcycle collided with the passenger side of a car in Peoria.

The motorcycle was driving south on Lake Pleasant Drive when it hit the car as it made a left turn into a driveway from the northbound lane of Lake Pleasant north of Beardsley Road.

The 54-year-old male driving the car was not injured.

Officials said that Lake Pleasant was reopened around 7 p.m. after being closed for about three hours.

Police say that police are still investigating but no citations have been issued.
