Phoenix restaurant owners kidnapped, robbed

Police are searching for five robbers they say kidnapped two Phoenix restaurant owners and tied them up while ransacking their house Saturday.

The masked robbers reportedly entered the Los Alamos Mexican restaurant near 30th Street and Bell Road before 9:15 a.m. Toting guns, they forced the restaurant owners into a brown Bronco-style vehicle and stole their truck.

They then drove to the victims' house near Cave Creek Road and Union Hills Drive and stole an unknown amount of items, said Phoenix police Lt. John Stallings.

After the robbers fled, the victims, who were tied up, freed themselves and walked back to the restaurant. During the walk, they spotted their truck at a drugstore near Union Hills Drive and Cave Creek Road. According to police, someone saw a suspect get out of the truck and into a white Chrysler.

Anyone with information can call Phoenix police at 602-262-6151.
