GFAA youth production to revisit the '80s

Laurie Haun of the Gilbert Fine Arts Association previews that group's upcoming youth presentation.

Go back in time with Gilbert Fine Arts Association's youth production, to a time when Michael Jackson and Rick Astley were the Kings of Pop.

When big hair, acid washed jeans, blue eye shadow, leg warmers and Members Only jackets were all the rage.

Seventy five local youth ages 8-19 and a live rock band will take the stage in early April, showcasing the music, dance moves and styles of the 1980s.

Join the graduating class of William Ocean High School as they live through their senior year, as remembered by one of its grads, now in his 30s. Experience the fun, the heartbreak, the loves and loneliness of growing up, all set to 26 of the biggest hits of the '80s.

Songs include Material Girl, Love Shack, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Footloose, Wake me up Before You Go Go, (I've Had) The Time of My Life and many more.

Adults will know all these songs and kids will be surprised how many they know as well! Fun for all ages.
