Free physicals to East Valley student athletes

The Team of Physicians for Students (TOPS) announces that is has joined forces with Gilbert Hospital to offer free student athletic physicals to East Valley youths on April 26 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Gilbert High School.

Gilbert High School is located at 1101 East Elliott Road in Gilbert.

Hospital staff members have attended past TOPS events and will be running the exam program based on TOPS guidelines. The TOPS program is currently in its 10th year.

Comprehensive sports physical examinations will be given which include electrocardiograms and echocardiograms, if indicated. The physicals include: height/weight, blood pressure, hernia and oral checks, ear, nose and throat examinations, range of motion, flexibility, neurological and vision testing.

Educational health information will also be provided.
