Indian Bend Road reopened after storm closure

SCOTTSDALE - Indian Bend Road opened Wednesday afternoon after Scottsdale police closed the road for 2 1/2 days following Monday's storm.

The storm dropped up to 1 1/2 inches of rain in some areas of the city, and police closed the road between Scottsdale and Hayden roads until the water receded.

Barricades are pre-staged in other parts of the city in case more storms move in this week, Officer Dave Pubins said. Pubins said some patrol officers also are equipped with barricades and could set them up.

"More than likely, our officers who are out patrolling will see the trouble areas first," Pubins said.
