Hardy willing to help students, teachers

SCOTTSDALE - Kelly Hardy is this week's Scottsdale Unified School District Teacher of the Week.

Ann Achtziger, the district's service learning coordinator, nominated the Saguaro High School teacher. Achtziger said that Kelly Hardy is a breath of fresh air:

She is a positive, energetic and encouraging teacher. Hardy is a firm but fair role model each day she works with youth.

This was Hardy's first year teaching Service Learning and her first year at Saguaro.

Hardy is an intelligent individual that always goes above and beyond. She has the brains and the brawn, as she is always willing to roll up her sleeves to get the job done.

Hardy is one citizen that is changing the world. Her dedication to teaching and doing the right thing for youth is highly admirable.

Robert Akhbari, Saguaro assistant principal, also added that Hardy was willing to take on additional English classes to help Saguaro at a time of need. She is a team player who has developed strong relationships with her students and staff.
