The Scottsdale Artists' School will kick off its 24th annual Best and Brightest Juried Fine Art Show and Sale with a public reception Thursday. Featuring paintings, drawings and sculpture from professional as well as undiscovered artists, the show will run through Nov. 18.
PUBLIC RECEPTION
Thursday, 5-7 p.m.
SHOW LOCATION
3720 N. Marshall Way (southwestern corner of Second Street and Marshall Way). Parking is free.
WHAT TO SEE
The show will feature nearly 100 works for sale from students who have taken classes at the school during the past three years. Juried categories include oil painting, watercolor, pastel, drawing, and sculpture. Prices for original works will range from $200 to $5,000.
SPECIAL AT THE RECEPTION
Guests may meet students and aspiring artists, faculty, benefactors and have the chance to win $500 in art class and workshop credit to the school.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Founded in 1983, non-profit Scottsdale Artists' School teaches about 3,000 artists and aspiring artists annually. The school offers workshops and classes in oil painting, watercolor, pastel, sculpture and drawing.
