Folks get crafty at Sequoya Briar Patch

SCOTTSDALE - The Sequoya Briar Patch is back.

A Scottsdale staple for more than two decades, the event will feature crafters and cooks from across the nation, showcasing their wares from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Sequoya Elementary School.

Sequoya is located at 11808 N. 68th St.

Crafters will include Diane Chapman, a former Scottsdale resident and longtime Briar Patch fan who now has a booth at the event for her scarf and customized-greeting-card line "Distinctive Designs by Diane."

Chapman will be joined by bag and accessory designers, glass blowers, and gourmet treat vendors. For more information, call 480-948-3942.

Share your news and happenings, and we'll publish them in print and online. To find out how you can contribute information specific to Scottsdale and the Northeast Valley, check out "News By You" at scottsdale.azcentral.com and click on "Citizen Reporter."
