2009 annual Golf Pass goes on sale

SCOTTSDALE - The Scottsdale-based Southwest Section PGA has announced the sale of its 2009 annual Golf Pass.

The pass provides an opportunity for golfers to save money year-round, especially during these challenging economic times.

The pass, a service that has been in existence for more than 10 years, can be bought at more than 75 participating golf courses beginning today until Jan. 1 for $125. From January through May 31, 2009, the price is $175. It's good until Oct. 31, 2009.

Members can visit www.swsgolfpass.com to book online tee times (a new feature this year), find course listings and specials that are exclusive to pass members. More than 25,000 passes were sold in 2008.

Pass members are able to play golf all year at participating courses in Scottsdale, Sedona, Maricopa and other cities at a rate of 50 percent off rack fees Monday through Thursday. They receive 25 percent off rack fees Friday through Sunday and holidays.

Advance reservation availability is determined by each golf club. Before booking a starting time, members must check the advanced bookings information for the course they wish to play.

In addition to unlimited, year-round golf, pass members earn Rewards Points for each round played. By registering cards online, members receive a free subscription to Golf Digest or Golf World magazine.

They also receive rewards for most rounds played, five or more courses played per month, et cetera, and can win Ping irons, Ping drivers and Bridgestone golf balls.
