Canyon Ridge adds habitat spaces

The Canyon Ridge School community is working to transform a small space outside of the school building into an outdoor learning environment. The outdoor classroom, consisting of various garden and animal habitats, is being built by students and facilitated by Natalie Moore, seventh-grade science teacher.

Students are working together across grade levels to build a butterfly habitat, a tortoise habitat and garden areas that will contain plant species from across the country. Students and teachers will begin scientific exploration in the outdoor classroom as each segment is completed.

The outdoor classroom is funded through a school fundraiser specifically designed for this project.
