Dysart Unified School District, in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Sun City West, is initiating a districtwide competition honoring student-designed exhibits about American history. The Dysart History Fair's focus will be to explain, demonstrate, or otherwise show the impact that science and technology have had or will have on American history.
The History Fair provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of American history and their understanding of the impact of technological change on society, and exhibit 21st-century learning skills. The competition will wind up with a public display of the history exhibits April 25 at the Dysart Education Center in Surprise.
The program is being executed jointly with the Kiwanis Clubs of Division 13 of the Southwest District. Other service groups, such as Los Padres Bank, also are joining the effort.
