Hot stars in West Valley concert at Cricket Wireless Pavilion

Some of the hottest names in pop are about to descend on Cricket Wireless Pavilion for Johnjay and Rich's second annual Phooson concert.

And according to the KRQ DJs, the pop stars have all been instructed to stick to the hits.

Here's a look at a few of the bigger names on tap for today's show.

And if you're wondering what a Phooson is, the name was chosen last year, when the concert took place in a field somewhere between Phoenix and Tucson.

Rihanna

This 20-year-old R&B star emerged from Barbados in 2005 with the dancehall-flavored Pon de Replay. In three short years, she's followed through by sending more songs to the top of Billboard's Hot 100 - SOS, Umbrella, Take A Bow, Disturbia and Live Your Life - than any other female solo artist this decade. And she's done it all while looking really hot in both latex and leather.

Katy Perry

This Internet icon put in seven weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 with I Kissed A Girl this past summer. A flirtatious tribute to bisexual dabbling, Perry's double-platinum breakthrough topped the charts in 20 countries while making the most of Perry's image - a sort of Julie Brown meets Cyndi Lauper in a vintage clothing store approach to being the wackiest girl on the block. By then, she'd won Madonna's heart with a viral hit about a metrosexual ex-boyfriend called UR So Gay.

Fall Out Boy

The pop-punk band most likely to be cherished by your average Tiger Beat subscriber, Fall Out Boy scored its first double-platinum smash in 2005 with From Under The Cork Tree, topping the charts with last year's follow-up Infinity on High. A new album, Folie a Deux, is set to hit the streets in mid-December, boasting guest appearances by Elvis Costello, Kanye West and Debbie Harry.

The Pussycat Dolls

The Spice Girls of its generation, the Dolls got a head start on bumping and grinding their way through music videos, spending its formative years as an LA-based burlesque troupe. Since being repositioned as a pop group in 2003, it's had four U.S. Top 10 hits - the Busta Rhymes-assisted Don't Cha, Stickwitu, Buttons and When I Grow Up.
