My-Tee Paintworks, a T-shirt decorating store in Avondale, is holding a fundraiser for 1-year-old Teresa Villalpando, who is suffering from Sandhoff disease, a rare genetic disorder.
The incurable terminal condition causes motor weakness, early blindness, progressive mental and motor deterioration and other symptoms.
The store will donate 15 percent of the proceeds of any shirt made through July 13 when customers mention Teresa's name. The cost is $19 per adult and $17 for children, which includes a shirt, paints and designs. The donation will help pay Teresa's medical bills, according to her mother, Liahla Roberts.
The store is at 10160 W McDowell Road, Suite 120; 623-936-0001 or www.myteepaintworks.com. To contact the family, call 623-872-1664 or visit www.myspace.com/helpteresa.

West Valley National Bank recently raised $13.8 million in its secondary capital offering. The original offering deadline of Jan. 31 was extended due to an increase in interest from investors, said President and CEO Candace Wiest.
The bank, which has branches in Avondale and Buckeye, also has hired Cynthia Davis as vice president of regional branch administration.
Davis will be responsible for planning, directing and organizing the overall sales, service and administrative activities for the bank's community branch network.
