If you use Ticketmaster for tickets to sporting events, add spring training in Goodyear to that mix.
The company will provide the ticketing system for Goodyear's new stadium under a five-year contract with the city.
"They have a dominant position in the marketplace," stadium Manager Nathan Torres said of Ticketmaster.
Two Ohio baseball teams are moving their spring-training base from Florida to Goodyear. The Cleveland Indians play their first game in February, and the Cincinnati Reds in 2010.
The Indians and the city will manage ticketing at the ballpark, southeast of Estrella Parkway and Yuma Road.
Under the city's contract with Ticketmaster, the company will provide a $116,800 system, including computer terminals and ticket printers, buy in-stadium advertising and promote the ballpark in exchange for the right to charge fees for tickets purchased through its Web site, call centers and retail locations.
Convenience fees vary. For example, a $10 ticket has an additional $2.25 fee, while a $30 ticket has a $4 fee. Ordered together, they would cost $46.25, plus the $3.50 processing fee.
The city expects Ticketmaster to generate 35 percent of ticket sales.
Over the life of the contract, Ticketmaster is projected to generate $25,000 in stadium advertising for the city and $350,000 worth of marketing and promotional support. The contract can be renewed for up to two years.
