Buckeye junior breaks record in 200 freestyle

Buckeye resident Ellen Blassingame writes about her grandson.

Jake Hengsteler, 16, is a junior at Buckeye High School and a member of the Hawks' swim team.

Recently at state (held at ASU), he broke his own school record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:53.84. He medaled fourth at state and is working hard to get a scholarship.
