I-10 is a scary place to drive

Debbie Kurth of Buckeye has this gripe about traffic.

Interstate 10 is very dangerous. It scares me every day the way people speed, tailgate and weave in and out of traffic. The freeway should have been at least started or finished before allowing all the building of homes, stores and malls! You can not get from Point A to B.

It's hard taking side streets. They are also under construction, and there is a lot of traffic.

I'm very worried that I will not be able to make it to work. I work in downtown Phoenix. It's 30 miles from my house to work. I can not afford to be late; I will lose my job.

Is the construction on the I-10 going to be 24 hours a day or what? I would like to have some sort of notification of freeway closures, due to the construction, and side streets as well.

This is important because too many people do not pay attention They don't look, and just go like they are the only ones on the road. Example, on the way home last night we were almost involved in the accident at Dysart Road and I-10, involving the motorcycle. Even after DPS started letting people through, they were driving like crazy people. You would think after seeing the person laying on the ground dead, that they would slow down some.

I think the speed limit should be 65 out there past Cotton Lane; it's still 75.
