Man arrested; said he fell into pool

Tempe police arrested a 21-year-old man after they said he fell into a pool early Saturday while trespassing.

Police found Jonathan Tobin wet, with his pants on inside out and with two towels covering his upper body about 5 a.m.

Tobin is suspected of going onto property in the 1200 block of West 11th Street without permission. After falling into the pool, he is suspected of taking two towels from the property, police said. He did not go into any buildings.

When officers asked Tobin why he was wet he said he had fallen into a pool, police said.

Tobin was booked on suspicion of residential trespass, theft and criminal damage.
