A Tempe coffeehouse sends word about expanded offerings.
Steve's Espresso, an independent, 4-year-old coffeehouse at McClintock Drive and Baseline Road, has added freshly baked food. Steve's has added an oven to provide menu items such as a ham-and-cheese brioche, organic peanut butter cookies and decadent egg frittatas.
"Our goal is to bring to you a wider range of baked goods produced right at the shop using nothing but wholesome, fresh ingredients," owner Steven Schmidt said. Just don't be alarmed if you see Schmidt or co-owner Thomas Bonacci wearing soufflé hats behind the counter.
