I have tried to lose weight but nothing seems to work. My doctor did a blood test and everything was normal including my thyroid. What am I doing wrong?

In many instances, a well-planned low-calorie diet is not effective or stops being effective for losing weight. The reasons could be due to 1) a decrease in basal metabolism, possibly due to a diet very poor in protein or too low in calories and lack of regular physical exercises, 2) subclinical hypothyroidism or 3) body reaction to certain foods that prevent the loss of the excess weight, in spite of following a low-calorie diet.
