Get traditional at this cultural event that celebrates German heritage in many ways, including the German bands Guggenbach Buam and Guggenbach Trio. Cooks will compete in a juried sauerkraut contest and chefs will have demos for such recipes as sauerkraut pizza. You can enter polka-dancing and beer-stein holding contests (not at the same time, of course), and blow an authentic alphorn.

The festival, sponsored by New Belgium Brewing and touring 11 cities, focuses on spreading the word about the positive societal offerings of the bicycle. A bike parade is a highlight, along with beer, music and costumes. All ages.
