Zac Efron suffered injury while shooting 'HSM3'

Zac Efron injured himself while shooting ‘High School Musical 3: Senior Year’.

The 20-year-old actor – who plays basketball player Troy Bolton in the Disney franchise – admits he “ate it” while filming a scene where he danced in a revolving hallway.

He said: “We had always talked about doing a scene in a revolving setting and then one day I walked in and there was a revolving hallway.

It was like a square inside a big hamster wheel. I got there and the crew said, ‘OK, let’s go!’ I was like, ‘I haven’t rehearsed yet guys!’

“So Kenny Ortega, the director, told me to rehearse it but also filmed it at the same time. It was crazy! I fell over a few times. At one point it reversed direction and I wasn’t ready – I ate it then!”

Zac – whose character Troy goes to his senior prom with his on-screen and real life girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens – also revealed he was determined to find a unique outfit for his own senior prom.

He added to BANG Showbiz: “I really wanted to go to my prom in a vintage tuxedo. So I looked everywhere, and eventually got one from Goodwill, a charity store in the US.

“But it didn’t work at all and I ended up looking terrible!”

‘High School Musical 3: Senior Year’ is released worldwide later this month.
