Man drowns in Lake Havasu channel

LAKE HAVASU CITY - Medics in Lake Havasu City were unable to revive a man found floating in the popular Bridgewater Channel.

Officials say the same man was rescued from almost the exact same spot two weeks ago.

The 48-year-old was spotted face down in the water Friday afternoon. He was pulled from the water by bystanders, who worked to revive him. Arriving police and firefighters began advanced lifesaving procedures but they ultimately failed.

The victim's name hasn't been released pending notification of relatives.
