Valley highs will be in 70s this weekend

If you have been waiting patiently for fall, your perfect weekend has arrived.

Today will be warm, but it all begins to change on Saturday when cool weather - yes, actually cool - rolls into the Valley from the north.

High temperatures Saturday and Sunday will remain in the 70s, according to the National Weather Service.

The last time a weekend stayed below 80 degrees was in March.

Morning lows this weekend will be legitimately chilly.

When you shuffle out to get your paper Sunday morning, it could be as low as 55 degrees.

For the complete fall experience, drive up north to see the colors changing.

Trees in the Coconino National Forest near Flagstaff are brilliant right now.

Leaves on sumac, quaking aspen, and Virginia creeper are in full color.

There are also terrific views in the White Mountains and other areas of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests.
