4 dried plums
1 small red chile pepper
2 snack-size containers (4 ounces each) pineapple tidbits
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon butter
2 thin-cut boneless ham steaks (6 ounces each)
Finely chop the dried plums and place in a small mixing bowl. Seed and finely chop chile pepper and add to bowl. Drain pineapples and add to bowl. Stir in brown sugar; set aside. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Rinse ham steaks and pat dry. Sear ham 1 to 2 minutes on each side until lightly browned. Move to a serving plate; spoon salsa on top.
